Logistic coordinator training: FORELOG (OCBA)

Welcome to the FORELOG Training 

The FORELOG is an essential training program for the development of generalist logisticians at MSF. 

This training responds to one of the strategic objectives for the Logistics Department:
To re-enforce the role of logisticians so that they are able to co-construct operational projects thattake into account both the environment and thecontext.


OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

Propose and implement a logistics/supply strategy nationwide.


BY THE END OF THE COURSE, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

Position yourself in your role of logistics coordinator

  • Know the history of MSF, its principles, its controversies, in order to be able to present MSF to the authorities, to MSF partners and staff.
  • Know the roles and missions of logistics coordinators.

Analyze the general context of its mission

  • Evaluate, analyze, and interpret the general context of its mission.
  • Evaluate and analyze the security context of its mission and implement the security actions applied.
  • Evaluate and analyze the logistical context of its mission.

Become a stakeholder in the coordination of operations in your country

  • Appropriate medico/ops issues and participate in their dissemination.
  • Translate and prioritize med/ops decisions in logistics activity.
  • Present the project management cycle and participate in the set-up of operations.

Organize teams, resources, and tools in line with operational needs

  • Supervise and support the teams.
  • Appropriate logistics typologies and support systems.
  • Identify and organize support needs.
  • Manage resources (materials, equipment, services, etc.).


TARGET GROUP

Log Coordinators, Deputy Log Co and other identified profiles in the process of becoming Log Co.


LEARNING METHODS

This is a blended course with an online and a face to face part. It is compulsory to attend to a minimum of 80% of the online part of the course to be able to do the face to face part in Barcelona.

72 HOURS 


CERTIFiCATE: 

At the end of course ( online and presential part )  the participants will recieve a certificate
